The Caring Christian Cooks ministry is a beautiful expression of Christ’s love in action—soups simmer, casseroles bake, and meals are lovingly prepared for individuals and families navigating difficult times: illness, grief, new parenthood, or recovery. Rooted in scripture—“if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted…” (Isaiah 58:10) or the call in Matthew 25:45—the ministry delivers hearty, home-cooked meals bolstered by prayer, companionship, and the reminder that the church is present in tangible ways. Volunteers often sign up to prepare a main dish, veggies or salad, and a dessert, then reach out with a personal note of encouragement. It's a heartfelt ministry that lightens burdens and serves as a powerful sanctuary of community care.
